Fat fingers

Not the typo kind but literally fat fingers.

For most of my Keto journey, my fingers have been getting smaller. I was to the point I was getting ready to take my wedding rings back in to be resized. But over this past week, they have been puffing up so much that my rings became uncomfortably tight and I had to remove them.

Now normally I would chalk this up to water retention, but my weight has gone down over the same time period and my clothes are definately fitting looser.

So it’s just my hands that are swelling up.
Anyone have any ideas why this would be?

Btw, if you do notice a bunch of typos from me, I’m blaming it on my literal fat fingers.

I think I just saw something (a thread on here? or a blog posting somehwere?) that talked about summer heat and a resulting shift in hormones. I didn’t follow the hormone part too carefully but the result of the shift was swelling fingers. So… I don’t know if that’s the explanation, but whatever the cause, you’re not alone!

Thanks. They definately swell when I run, but this has been constant for the last 4 or 5 days, and to the point my rings were digging into my finger. That hasn’t happened since I was about 70 pounds heavier. It took me a bit to even get them off.
It’s especially confusing since they were so loose just last week, they were practically falling off.

In the office at work I’m always freezing, and usually when I’m cold, the rings get looser.

ugh, that must be annoying. You’ve been fasting, right? Any chance there’s some electrolyte imbalance going on?

It started before I started fasting. But I’ve been drinking my ketoade religiously. I thought maybe too much salt was leading to water retention. But I would think I’d see that on the scale too.
Weights still been going down.

I just tried my rings back on and it’s gone down a little today, but not completely.
