FAT "FEAST" *winks @Juice* RECIPES

(Katie the Quiche Scoffing Stick Ninja ) #1

Thinking of following a fat fast to break through my weight loss plateau, I’ve hit my body set point of 63kg and regular fasting won’t work anymore. Mainly due to not having enough body fat to provide sufficient energy needs. I need about 75g a day now for my metabolism not to slow down.
I am only going to do it for 2 days, 3 max.

Does anyone have any links to recipes that are predominately fat, short of just eating a stick of butter or drinking cream?
The only thing I can think of is whipping a bowl of cream and eating it but even then I’d want to add some sugar free chocolate mix to make a mousse, haha, fuck.

ANY IDEAS ;D

I could buy a cook book but I’m way too cheap and broke for that. Lol.

Who knew there was so many recipes for fat feasts that had things other than fat in them? perplexed lol

I know someone who ate nothing but macadamias & cream cheese for like a week or something - more to bust a stall than to change a set point but it worked for her :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I wish I liked macadamia nuts lol
Not a huge huge fan of cream cheese either but mind you that’s out of ignorance, haven’t really used it much before. I just didn’t realise a fat ‘feast’ included other ‘ingredients’

This is actually really confusing…

There are fat fast recipes on this website that include carbohydrates and protein
How is this a fat fast when you are consuming 20g carbs a day?
It it considered a fat feast because a majority of the calories are coming from fat, upwards of 90%?
Help me out here…

Reading this and just getting more and more confused lol.

I think that’s the idea - I’ve never actually tried it myself. Basically you’re supposed to maintain a high calorie intake (or go higher) & uber-keto macros so your body doesn’t think you’re holding out on it. You should definitely ensure that you get at least your minimum protein levels if you’re lifting.

That’s my conclusion also.
They said get the rest of your calories from Protein if you need to.
I guess I am technically fat feasting anyway, I am working out Monday/Wed/Friday on fasting days, but every day I am drinking up to 75g of fat from Cream to meet my energy needs. I’m only really eating on Tue/Thur/Sat/Sun

I could get used to this lol, but not really, as that isn’t advised, lol.

The macadamia/cream cheese combo sounds a lot like a chore but oh. my. giddy. aunt - those crepes :point_up_2:

Hey, I’ve got an idea - don’t suck me in with the title then kick me in the face with the first sentence!

Ha Ha Ha … giggle

#13

Yeah I’m with you on the whole fasting, not really being a fasting thing.
I’m sure that sometimes, they just call it what ever they think will get the most publicity!

Good luck tho.

  • Keto flu
  • Bulletproof coffee
  • #insertfoodnamehere fast

And so on.

I’d avoid dairy, go for other animal fats like lard or tallow maybe.

I’d never suspect in my life that l’ll be so delighted to eat warm chicken fat drippings…so full of flavor! Just saying…

I have no experience cooking a lot of meat, the most I can do is cook a pork belly or a steak, lol.

I do have some ghee!

You say that like it’s a bad thing.

I’ll be watching this. Working on ways around my own new plateau. Yeah, I know, KCKO - maybe I have to do something to adapt to the 10 kg I lost this summer.

Looking at things folks are trying and succeeding with.

You should definitely be recalcuating your macros per your weight loss.
If you are still eating at a 10kg+ increment, you may be over eating.

Maybe ghee would work. I’d caution against most if not all dairy though, most of us handle it poorly.
