Hi, I’m just approaching my 4th week in Ketosis and so far so good. I’m a nursing mama so I’m having about 20-30g net carbs a day. The weight loss has slowed down but I’m definitely losing inches and people are starting to notice, so I know it’s working.
I’ve been using the ketone pee sticks to confirm that I’ve been in Ketosis and I just got a cheap breathalyser today for fun. It’s been registering a constant 0.03 BAC% all day which from what I’ve read online converts to 1.5mmol (correct me if I’m wrong).
My hubby who is just low carb not strictly Keto but was fasting today registered 0.02 and my kids who I tested it on cos they wanted to play with it registered zeros, so it’s definitely working.
My urine pee sticks are reading a constant 4.0.
Do you think I’m fat adapted or at least close?
I have been hungry all week if I’m honest so I’ve upped my fat content but I’m thinking maybe this is part of the fat adaptation; my body looking for other than fat and causing me cravings, so I’ve just been giving it more fat in the hopes it will soon realise…is this right?
I do seem to have upped my protein as well somehow, I know I need to watch this.
So what do you think? Fat adapted or on the way?
