Fasting help please
hey, one quick question. in an earlier post on this thread, you said that fasting is good, but extended calorie restriction is bad. are those not the same thing?
They are not. @Brenda Zorn organizes the monthly Zornfast. She works with Megan Ramos and Dr. Fung. This is from their website explaining the difference.

I’ve never seen that here or anywhere else, but I can’t imagine how it could cause a problem. Note that Dr. Fung doesn’t recommend fasting much beyond three days, in any case.
There are two questions here: First, you break your fast when you consume calories. Second, it’s a good idea to eat lightly at first, then a heavier meal a while later. If you search in the Fasting forum for this, lots of posts should come up.
