Fasting effect on new tattoo?

I am gona do a three day water fast, and the best time for me to start is on friday-sunday becouse i have noe jobb or school in that time. My only worries are that on thursday i am gona have a 5 hour long tattoo session, so on friday morning when my fast start, my body has ALOT of skin to heal, will my fasting effect my tattoo inn any way? might be a dumb question but i am new to fasting. Tought it seems like a dumb idea for a long time, but i keep hearing great things about it so i will give it a try.

Hmmm… if you are worried then don’t do it. There is always next weekend?

Personally, I’ve not found any link between fasting and the body not being able to heal itself and have read lots of good posts about how people use fasting to speed up this process, including scar tissue and chemotherapy recovery.

But if I was concerned about something to the point I had to ask people for advise, and I could avoid it, I would. But that is just me.

if there is no one that tells i should do it, i will, becouse i cant work out for 3 days anyway so i dont wanna sitt and do nothing anyway :slight_smile: but thanks

I don’t see it having an effect, why can’t you workout for 3 days? The fast?

yea i guess my energi wont be at my best without food, and pluss its recomended to wait a couple of days after tattoo :slight_smile:

Possibly for the tattoo if your lifting and stretching that area constantly, but I wouldn’t worry about the energy in the gym. When I was constantly fasting I’d do 5 day fasts most of the time and still worked out 4x week with no issues. As long as your body is used to fasting your usually good. My first week fast was the only weird one, after that they all went smooth as can be.

this is the first time, any tips or tricks? what kind of discomfort can i ekspect?

Stay very well hydrated, ketoade is great for fasts, if your feeling weird, tired, shaky dissolve 1/4tsp sea salt under the tongue a couple times a day, helps HUGE. On my first fast I felt very slightly dizzy and my arms got real tingly, like I was sleeping on them or something, kept checking my blood sugar to make sure I was good, which I was and knew my hydration and electrolytes were good so I pushed though. Only happened on the 3rd day of the first fast and never happened again after many week long fasts.
