Fasting and Medications

(Laurel Harrington) #1

Hi, sorry if this has been asked before, I searched and didn’t find anything so here it goes…
I am still very new and the appetite loss hit me a lot sooner than I expected. I am not at all prepared for how to work with it and work it into my life. I have prescriptions in the morning and evening that require eating food. I know there are different kinds of fasts so I’m asking what kinds of fasts have worked for others here in the same situation?

Thanks  :white_flower:

I’ll be following, as I have had this same question as well. Fingers crossed for some insight :crossed_fingers:

For EF, you could try a fat fast. Just eat fat (generally zero carbs and minimal protein) so that you have something your system is digesting with the meds. You’d still get many if of the benefits of doing a water fast.

Also, if BPC is enough to help with morning meds, you could just have that in the morning along with IF / OMAD and have your later pill with the meal.
