Any diet that takes out sugar from it is a great diet, after all sugar is the real enemy. (Also low sodium diets are dangerous) and Keto encourages you to listen to your bodies needs for higher salt, as it’s encouraged. I put my money on Keto
False info?
I know that this is an old post but the topic is constant.
I keep derailing from keto. I thought that I was doing it correctly but over the course of a year my total weight loss was 15 lb. yes I know it’s not just about the weight and yes I was feeling better on keto.
I’m struggling totally at this point. I decided to try to go to a trainer to get some guidance on excercise, along with that comes the nutrition. The trainer is the polar opposite of keto and believes that there will be kidney and liver damage from the lifestyle.
He was very serious about carbs being a “Must”. Because they are “ carbo HYDRATE” and we must have them to hydrate.
The macros that he gave me are 182 g of protein, 84 g fat, 66 g of carbs. Using a total of 1750 calories.
I am at a total freaking loss. Completely confused and feeling like crap.
I do know that keto works for a lot of people , I’ve listened to the pod casts, read a ton of blogs and have been scouring YouTube. It’s the real deal but I need back up.
Has anyone come up with a realistic meal plan?
I can squeeze in excercise but my sleep is a mess as I’m up at 4 a.m. and not getting to bed unto 9 or 10. I drive for a living in Chicago and work two jobs so you can imagine the stress.
Am I looking for a magic bullet ? No but I am looking for some serious guidance on the meal plans and nutrition and science to keep the nay sayers off of my back.
My weight is all the way back up to where when I started over a year and a half ago
Where the heck do I start over with all of this. ?
I’m looking to an experienced community here for some real and serious help.
Thank you !
Robert
In what way and why? You’re eating more carbs?
Some people can eat more than 20 g carbs and do well. Maybe 66 g a day isn’t terrible, depending on where you’re coming from just now. Also, how much and how often you eat makes a difference. In my experience I could eat all day and not lose anything, even staying below 20 g a day.
Sorry you’re feeling so frustrated. How’s the working out going?
