Well, eight days in and I’m feeling euphoric. The sugar cravings were (and sometimes still are) wild! But it’s worth it to persevere. I satiate those cravings with some well-browned mince cooked in butter and seasoned (should I be seasoning?) with plenty of salt and white and black pepper. I vary the amount of pepper depending on how I feel. Sometimes none is amazing.
I love sirloin and rib eye steaks and used to have them rare but I’m finding that now I prefer medium cooked with a little crunch on the outer layer.
Please feel free to share your recommendations for cuts of meat, cooking methods etc.
Oh, and could someone please enlighten me as to how to use beef dripping that looks like short cut mince? It’s been in my freezer for a week
