Energy zapped out

Need some help today. I feel incredibly drained. Like led and it’s hard to even move. I’ve had chicken scewers, cod live oil, penuts butter sauce some Atkins chocolate and a bottle of diet coke today. In drinking water at the moment as I thought it might be the diet coke doing this to my body today . All I want to do is go to sleep but I’m at work so can hardly do that. I’m also very full up so I can’t fit anymore food in. Any suggestions to provide me with energy without adding carbs would be appreciated.

Try electrolytes, especially salt!

Also check ingredients on the Atkins products, I can’t eat those due to maltitol. Messes me up & I know I’m not alone.

I find peanut butter and all nuts sometimes weigh more in the carbs part than the oil… so I try to not to relieve some temporary tiredness exactly with that… doesn’t work for me

Do you check glucose? I definitely agree with trying the salt. But, if you don’t normally have artificially sweetened things, you might have an insulin response lowering your already low-normal blood sugar. Or, a drop in blood pressure. You could also see about eating some fat with your salt.

Electrolytes, or/and fat. Coconut oil / MCT oil converts straight into energy for that quick boost.

I’ve not been able to get my energy levels up.so left work early and going to bed. Literally feel like led today. I’m not hungry. Quite the opposite… Feel very full up despite not eating much today. Hopefully going to sleep will help so I don’t end up feeling like this tomorrow

Are you just starting the keto diet? I would definitely supplement with some electrolytes, like regular table salt, potassium salt (aka substitute salt “No-Salt”), and magnesium as long as ok with your doctor.

The artificial sweeteners in the diet coke and Atkins thing will work against you in many many ways. I learned this the hard way.

Today was much better, went home last night and had a soup. Then rested and woke up much better . Today been a little tired still but nothing like yesterday . No led feeling which was good and worked late at work as well.

Stuff happens, keto or not. Maybe you were fighting off a cold or virus that didn’t manifest itself with the typical chills / sore throat kind of thing.
