Hello everyone I’ve been keto for approx 2 months now and I’m noticing when I eat a fatty meal say 50-60g of fat I get a huge energy rush. Had mascarpone this morning with eggs and afterwards had a huge energy rush like I’d just eaten sugar except minus the crash. I was wondering if this is an insulin response?it felt similar to a sugar rush.
Energy rush from fat?

Probably was the medium chain fatty acids in the cream rapidly converting to ketone bodies. Same thing with bulletproof coffee with coconut oil

Yes was thinking the same thing. Im only just starting to feel a sense of energy from my food after more than two months of being keto. I would say that people who adapt in 2 weeks are very metabolically advantaged because my journey has been much longer to the point of almost chucking it in. So glad im now feeling better each day.
