Energy Levels

Hello. I’ve just started doing keto. It’s been about 9 days and haven’t really experiences the “flu” most people talk about.

Anyway, So i’ve noticed after the first couple of days that I get a lot of energy in the evenings, which is weird bc normally I would be tired from the day. I have this surging energy and it is so strange. Logically I should use this energy for the gym right? I just prefer to go in the early morning to push into ketosis first thing for the day. Should I just go with the energy given and work out in the evening?

Does anyone else experience sudden energy in the evening? It’ just so strange to me. I’m trying to listen and help my body so any advice or similar experiences would calm my concerns…

Yes, and more so if I happen to skip dinner that day as well (or am on a fast). I wake up super early every day, get a lot of work done in the morning, then in the afternoons start to feel a bit tired. However usually by early evening I find a second wind and have a TON of energy keeping me going until late night (if needed). It’s fun being able to keep up with my four-year-old!

My whole life, from when I can remember - somewhere in the single digits as far as age. If there is such a thing as “night person” versus “day person” or “morning person,” then that’s me. 7 p.m. - Let’s Rock & Roll! :smile:

If I have beef for lunch & skip dinner I find it almost impossible to sit still. If you feel like exercising in the evening then I’d go with it - just be aware that intense exercise right before bed can mess with your sleep.

I appreciate y’alls input. Puts me at ease a bit since I felt it was strange for myself!
