Ok this is a poor selling cereal but not the comments agaivst this and Kellogg’s move into low sugar

We are winning and their profits are hurting as no cereal is good

““Kids consume half their daily sugar allowance before the school bell rings, with much of it coming from cereals.”

“Half…” As a teenager and through most of my 20s, I ate a lot of cereal with a lot of sugar. Had to laugh at the serving size printed on the packages. One “serving” was one ounce or thirty grams, or a cup/250 ml. Well, that was a long way from being correct.

I ate out of a 4 quart/liter mixing bowl, and an entire box of cereal only had one or two servings.

Now I’m staring in the mirror, talking to myself. “Man, I’m sorry - I didn’t know.”

There are times when I truly shudder to think… Yet there is hope; the human organism is a tough one, and the way back appears to be open.

Around me is an ocean of childhood and young adulthood obesity, West Virginia, the American midwest and Appalachia. If ketogenic eating and very substantial carbohydrate restriction is our new way of eating and thinking, how long before it really penetrates a substantial portion (most?) of the population?

In my own family, the younger generation thus far is not overweight, most are quite thin. Ages 12 to 25, fourteen of them in all. For the majority, it’s a fairly standard modern western diet. Four of them are vegetarian or vegan, and I wonder how that will work out in the long run.

I think it is starting as some high sugar products are seeing sales stagnant etc

We see the kickback from Vegans increasing as clearly our WOE requires certainly more real animal products

Keto is top in google diet searches

and no real science to claim it is bad for us …

I was like you doug and loved corn flakes, sugar puffs etc with extra sugar and now I look at it all and think WOW no wonder I got to 130kg eating ‘healthy’

I wonder if they’ll make a low carb version of cocoa pops?

(ianrobo) #5

I think if you read this then yes in some way but Vegan ha ha

It will launch a new plant-based cereal range called WK Kellogg which includes no added sugar, low sugar, organic and vegan options.

I am waiting for Kelogg’s to produce Fatcicles.

I have no interest at all in Kelogg’s planed vegan cereals, or vegan anything for that matter.

Keto for Life!

 I cringed when I read this. What’s next?

Soylent green is people.

(Jack Brien) #8

What on earth are they putting into these things that aren’t vegetarian?

(Sophie) #9

:laughing::rofl::laughing:

(Ryan Roman) #10

What do you mean by this? What do you search to see Keto diet at the top? I just searched “best diet”, and I could not find it. I’m very curious.

(ianrobo) #11

well others say this but google show analytics how how many people search for specific diets, say Keto, Paleo etc

(ianrobo) #12

well corn flakes show as

(Jack Brien) #13

Looks vegan already. Nothing wrong with an organic version, except the price hike.

(ianrobo) #14

well they have to change so targeting vegans is one way, so we are getting into this debate now with a lot of different diets all away from SAD

I am going to be honest this post did nothing but make me crave Cocoa Pebbles :joy:

Doug- Oh this is me! I too ate out of a mega bowl and would mix three types of cereals to get the right crunch. Corn Bran, granola and something i thought of as sugary like C Crunch. With a quart of milk.

AND if I ever relapse it will be my face in that bowl!
