Egg fast 101

So the mid section of my belly will not reduce. It will not be not fluffy. It will not stop sticking out. On a whole, my belly will not be what it was two months ago.
I get it. I cheated during the holidays, I deviated from the holy diet to sinful breads and candies. But I have been eating clean food for two weeks now- and nope, not a sign of my body pardoning my sin .
The apple which adam took a bite of stuck in his throat. The apple (literally a no no in keto) has stuck in my belly.
I am doing OMAD, but if I’m very hungry I’m also taking a small meal on the side.
No results as of yet. It seems as if I’m experiencing the wrath of the keto God.
Help. Would I do an egg fast? If so, what would be an ideal day of eating combining IF and OMAD. Or maybe just 18-20 hours fasting.
P.s. I love food. I won’t be able to fast for 48 hours.

You wouldn’t have to fast for 48 hours, in fact not recommended to go that long at first anyway. Dr Fung doesn’t recommend OMAD when the main goal is fat loss, he says it’s OK for maintenance but not ideal for fat loss.

Two weeks is no time. Be gentle with yourself. How are you sleeping? What’s your stress level like? There’s more to fat loss than food.

I dropped my initial 60 of 80 lbs by using keto OMAD. I prepped lunch for the week for work and only ate that. It took almost 2 months to get that far. I highly recommend.

Hi! Thank you. … Eve bit the apple. But she approached Adam too. We had a long debate on this in our Milton special paper class. Haha. Besides, my sleeping is OK. I sleep for 7-8 hours. I’m usually very fatigued now a days. I guess that maybe a keto flu. What would you say a very strict keto lunch would look like? Would that be no nuts no dairy no coffee?

Fatty meat, maybe cheese or eggs on the side. Green veggies if that’s your thing. When I did this it was sausage with cheddar melted on it and a kale shake. I’ve gone zero carb since then so I don’t do veggies. But it can help fill you up I think.

Dread 1840, thanks very much. However, no matter what I’m doing my body is not going into ketosis. It’s so frustrating. I’ll limit my veggies and do a proper meat and egg fast from Sunday. I’ll follow the diet strictly and see if I drop a pound in a week or so.

Hey! Sorry for this late reply… I didn’t have access to the internet for a couple of days.

Uhmmm…no, I don’t own a glucometer or strips to know if I’m in ketosis. But I’ve been in ketosis, and usually when I am I don’t obsess over food and can endure long fasts and don’t bloat and have a flatter stomach. In general, I feel great. But that seems to be far now. I’m returning from the city to my little town. Let me check my weight.

Also, could you suggest an authentic method for weighting myself? I usually do it in empty stomach in the morning. Or should I do that after eating as well?
