Edamame noodles - too carby?

Hey guys –

I just had ~2 serves of edamame noodles with some avocado mayo and olive oil and salt for dinner. (I’ve just gotten back from overseas, didn’t want to go to a restaurant and didn’t really want to cook anything serious! Had these babies in the cupboard, thought I’d try them.)

Each serve has 22g carb, 11g fibre, 5g sugars for an 11g net carb per serve. I’ve been LCHFing recently because, despite every attempt to get into ketosis on a VLCKD, it hasn’t been happening for me since I was in ketosis for a couple of months in the summer.

Obviously two serves of these bad boys (plus two cappuccinos with half and half milk today) put me well over the appropriate macros for ketosis. Nevertheless, compared to SAD, today’s carb count is quite low. My fat count is strong: I take plenty of olive oil and/or butter with most meals.

I guess I’m just wondering – does anyone else eat edamame or edamame noodles regularly? For noodles, they’re relatively low carb, but they’re still quite carby IMHO. Frankly I’ve been off noodles since I started LCHF 18 months ago, and don’t really need them in my diet, but I’m keen to know your thoughts!

That’s 2 days worth of carbs for me. I wouldn’t touch them.

I wouldn’t eat them but not because of the carbs. Soy isn’t good for you. Messes with hormones.
