It seems like some people have seen improvements in eczema using a ketogenic approach while others have not. Any idea as to what would make this difference and what could be recommended (such as additional restrictions) in order to ideally improve or cure eczema?
I had some improvement in eczema last week, but not sure why. Zc, so reduced dairy. Could be that. No sweetners last week so could be that. More fasting so could be that. Better at putting on gloves, even if " it’s Only one dish" so could be that. Not sure.
I’d have to do some N=1 studies to determine why my eczema hasn’t improved and quite possibly seems a little worse. But I think if it’s a bit worse it’s most likely down to raised stress and cortisol levels I’ve been experiencing over the last few months.
I may try dairy free for a month and see if that improves it. Gonna be hard, I like my cheese and double cream.

I think the big increase in healthy fats helped my eczema improve dramatically. The other thing which really helped was using Emu oil topically (bought on Amazon).
I have Psoriasis and Psoriatic arthritis, with the arthritis being the worse of the two. I take a biologic drug called “Stelara”, these days - a 90mg injection every 10 weeks. This is something I’ve struggled with since my early teens.
I’m not really sure if Keto helped anything. For my skin lesions, no, I don’t think it did at all. But my arthritis improved a great deal after doing Keto. The only problem is that I don’t know if I can attribute it to the food, or whether it’s the result of less weight being on my joints. Just my 2 copper.
