Anyone out there who does fasting feel more hungry at the end of your fast and wants to eat more than you do if you don’t fast? I am doing 16:8 but want to eat, eat eat at the end of 16 hours of fasting. Any input appreciated!
Eating after fasting
If you are ravenous when you are doing IF, it might be best to increase your eating window (maybe 20/8) or try to eat more fat during your meals. To me it sounds like you are not quite fat adapted or have lost a lot of weight and a continuous pattern of eating has spiked your hunger in an effort to stabilize or encourage weight gain.
I found that feasting one or two days a week helped reset my hunger and made OMAD a lot easier
It sounds to me like it might help to break your fastxwith high fat food, because that will trigger your satiety (which doesn’t sound to be happening for you currently)
Also, as long as you are still eating keto when you are in the feeding window, no need to beat yourself up. hugs Your health will be thanking you whatever size jeans you are currently in.

I noticed something similar with 16-8 intermittent fasting before I got into keto. I was eating clean, but it was still the SAD. I notice it less with keto, but still I am ready to EAT after most fasts, extended or intermittent although I don’t have any struggle with hunger during the fasts.
It is one of the reason I am doing less intermittent fast and more extended fasts.
Recently I fast Sunday night until Tuesday evening after my workout. I crush food that Tuesday night, but I don’t have to worry about it because I just got done with a two day water fast. I like it, for me it changes from trying to limit calories, to instead trying to get enough on the feast days.
With 16-8 I had to be much more disciplined about tracking my calories because I had less margin for error.
