I don’t know why I got excited when I seen they were offering this (don’t have a Dunkin Donuts close), but thought this would be a good on the go option for some. Anyway, I saw the word brown sugar in the story about it decided to look up the nutrition on it. The bacon looked like it was sprinkled with something. Sure enough some genius thought it would be a good idea to take a zero carb food and add sugar to it giving it ten grams of carbs.
Dunkin Donuts Bacon Snack pack
I wonder if the restaurants would entertain the idea if someone asked for the snack pack without the sugar?
They should really consider it without the add on. A snack pack of bacon would be a real appeal for people looking for a low carb option, but they go and mess it up by adding unnecessary sugar. It would sell the same regardless of the sugar, because bacon sells itself.
It’s so frustrating that people feel the need to add sugar to EVERYTHING.
Went to a management luncheon a few months ago for work and the menu was:
Fried chicken (no sugar but obviously can’t eat the batter so had to take off the skin)
Pulled pork with bbq sauce (with sugar, of course. Why not put it on the side and let people decide if they want sauce?)
Already dressed salad with a sweet vinaigrette dressing
Potatoes
Green beans
So I ate chicken which I had to take the skin off of, and green beans
If it’s anything like their donuts, you’ll just have to take it the way they give it to you because the bacon shows up in a box and all the store will do is put it in a warming tray to keep it warm.
Yeah, I ordered something with bacon a while back (can’t rememebr what it was) and the bacon was SWEET! Not just a hint of sugar cure - it had been SPRINKLED.WITH.SUGAR.
Gah. I didn’t eat it. I like my bacon salty. Assholes
