Dropped my chaffle iron in water

chaffles

OK, this isn’t really exactly keto related, but I dropped my chaffle iron in a pan that was soaking in the sink. I left it to dry while I was at work, but when I came home and moved it, more water came out. Is it done for? Do I have to buy a new one?

Thanks for advice! I love my chaffles!

I’d let it sit out and dry for a few days opened up on a towel, I’ve done that with things like this before and after a few days to make sure it’s dry it worked for me. But also YMMV! I’d at least give it a few days before I plugged it back in!

I agree with @monsterjuice -that is good advice. Hopefully it will be okay after. These chaffles are awesome, I agree, so I hope that following Ashley’s advice will fix it.

Best wishes!

Thank you, @monsterjuice and @Momof5 - I’ll try letting it dry for a few days.
I miss my chaffles!

If the appliance contains electronics, they may or may not be ruined. But the old-fashioned, non-electronic type of waffle iron ought to dry out eventually and be fine.
