Hello everybody!

Just thought I’d put a little follow-up from my last post about my concerns of drinking keto-style at my Xmas party…I completely surprised me and everyone last night at just how little the alcohol affected me! :joy: I’m actually so pleased at just how well i did. I donated all my potatoes, stuffing, bread roll, and stuck a massive slab of butter for the bread rolls on my veg for added satiety. Didn’t have dessert.
The only thing I over-indulged on was my Lindt 90% chocolate in my hotel room!
I came home this morning and for the first time I tested with my keto strips fully expecting to see no colour on them, only to be pleasantly surprised! I’ve been checking throughout the day, and ate at 12pm and there’s some serious purple on those sticks now. Probably more purple than I have ever seen before in fact.

Has anyone else experienced this? I was totally expecting the alcohol to kick me out of ketosis but that’s not been the case at all.

Tbh it probably just means you’re dehydrated due to the alcohol.

I did wonder if this was the case, I’ve been knocking water back like nobody’s business since I got home! :rofl:

Which leads me to another question, as I drink more water, shouldn’t the sticks be less purple?
