Funny, isn’t it, that we would prefer to eat crap and take a piil over just eating good food?
On the other hand, it just means there’s more bacon for us!

Amen on that second statement, Paul. On pills - makes me think of a time 40+ years ago, when my dad had some concern (can’t remember what it was), and I, in my late-teens erudition and all-knowingness, suggested a behavior or diet change. My dad, a man of considerable intellect and accomplishment (not to mention raising five kids, including pain-in-the-ass me), said, “No, I want a pill.”
He was born in 1937, in some ways very steeped in the stasis of post-World War II America; he would not be in the line to question a doctor. Funny - even then I knew he was wrong. Of course, I didn’t apply that to myself until decades of pre-diabetes had gone by and there was no more “pre-” to rely on.
Silence = death
Bacon = life
Keto = health
The fat/protein thing with bacon is divine. Somehow, my wife and I accumulated so much bacon over October and November that I was forbidden to obtain more in December. Tell you what - I had my eye on some uncut “slab bacon”… “Thick-cut bacon” - going to cut my own and they will be THICK.
Not to thread drift too much - oh wait, too late - but I think the current preferred spelling is “thicc.” Although that MIGHT be only for describing women (in a GOOD way, chill all), I’m not sure. And KetoCobra was no help when I checked there.
But . . . you might run out! So run out and buy more—it’s no longer December, either, so you have a loophole. Quick, before it closes!
#BACONBYTHETON
We visited in-laws in early fall. They are decidedly not keto. My wife explained a little about it. Not sure they got it except that when we showed up they had 36 eggs and 6 lbs (2.72 kg) of bacon for us.
As you’ve noticed there is a pretty strong anti exogenous ketone mentality here, unfortunately there is a lot of x-tone hate, and typically from people that have never taken them and aren’t speaking based on experience. With that said, as long as your mindset is right on what they are and aren’t then I would say their awesome. They give you amazing energy, the whole “mental clarity” thing cranked way up and yes, they can help people during the adaptation phase if they’re going through keto flu that bad. So on the weight loss, yes they CAN help, but indirectly. They don’t act as a fat burner or anything but your energy levels would be way up. It would be analogous to a sugar burner taking glucose tablets for extra energy, they’re taking what THEY use for fuel, and taking in more orally for an added boost. That’s all they are. WITH that energy if you can lift more weight, run faster, run further, work out longer, run around like a lunatic all day doing your normal stuff, then yes. You would most likely have improved fat burn from that but that’s how they help. The go to argument against them is always the same old “let your liver make them”… OBVIOUSLY! We eat Keto after all, but that’s very different than (true) information about supplementing something. Pretty much think of them like a pre-workout, without the super caffeine feel.
Perfect Keto is the least terrible tasting, but over priced. Left Coast nutrition’s works great but tastes way worse. They ALL taste terrible. If you pick up some use as needed, but for me a tub lasts a while because it’s only the days when I wake up like a zombie that I take them, to much $$$ otherwise. Definitely not a daily thing.
