Hello guys, i’m not a coffee fan so much but i saw researches that shown that drinking 3-5 cups a coffee a day will release 2 times more ketones in the body than drinking 1.5-3 cups a day and evern release more if you are not drinking any coffee a day.
If i am not drinking atm coffee and function great without it, should i enter it to my diet for this reason?
I would love to hear your opinions
Drinking coffee in keto diet
That sounds like a good reason not to feel guilty for drinking coffee if you already do, but not a good reason to start if it’s not your thing.
I love coffee, so I dearly want to believe that it is good for ketosis, but what I have read seems to be equally split between coffee helps you stay in ketosis, and coffee instantly knocks you out of ketosis. If you don’t already have a caffeine habit, the evidence in favor of coffee just isn’t good enough to start one.
Coffee is good for health supposedly. It will cost you a fair amount of money and you’ll likely become dependent on it however.
I drink black coffee pretty much every morning and sometimes will have decaf at night. A few times a week I may add a little heavy whipping cream (less than 1 Tbsp) for some color, but I actually prefer it black.
Doesn’t seem to negatively affect me. Moderation is the thing. I never drink regular coffee after noon… Green or black tea, sure, that I’ll happily drink in the afternoon or evening.
I used to drink 4 or more diet cokes a day, which I have completely quit, so caffeine and money wise, I am probably better off. I buy beans for about $10 a pound at the grocery and grind them myself. Very rarely I will stop at Starbucks for an Americano (espresso and water) if I just don’t have time to make it at home before I go out.
