I want to encourage people just starting out. I am 57 and started Keto on Thanksgiving 2017. At first I watched calories, but this was to learn my macros. I now just eat until I am full and understand counting carbs is the key. My starting weight was 378, 5x shirts and pants 54s. I am now at 245, xl shirts and in 34 pants.
I have T2D - but now have no indicators, A1c is 4.75, fasting glucose averages 93, completely off all my high blood pressure meds.
Keep at it- the first couple of months need to adjust, but once your in deep Keto - you have made it.
