Does your body know what it wants?

I’ve been enjoying this woe since June, and find that I crave different foods at times sort of going through cycles if you will. Eggs & bacon were the big staple in the beginning, as well as cream cheese and cold cuts. Lately it’s been Parmesan cheese, fried chicken, steak and spinach. The only consistent thing I’ve eaten is a serving or two of pistachio nuts nearly every day, just love those things; also bites of Kerrygold butter as a frequent snack. Has anyone else experience something similar? Just wondering if it’s because I ate so much carbage all the time pre-keto (fast food, candy, doughnuts, bread, tortilla chips, etc) and now I’m getting a lot of nutrients had been missing for years. It is still amazing to me 3 months later how all of my cravings for junk have virtually disappeared, never would have believed it. Now if I could just quit the Diet Coke…

You know you are a keto’er when…

Does your body know what it wants ?

I’ll say no.

The problem lies if someone craved sugar and then felt trapped because “my body is always right” and then felt compelled for health reasons to carb up.

Cravings are desires usually, not needs.
Wants, not needs.

I can also think of a lot of destructive cravings that are bad for everyone.

Suffering through a craving can be good for you as well. Learn to control your cravings, you be the boss - not your craving center.

Cravings are complicated. YMMV.
