Was this film released this week? I can’t find it! maybe a UK thing?
I think it’s a terrible name for a film or documentary, have you tried a search for a film called ‘Animal’? You get a million results and none are the one I hoped for!
Documentary Animal 2025
Thanks Sammy … I assume your in the US? I can’t find it on Amazon UK sadly. I was excited about that
Carnivore eating.
Shawn Baker, Sally Norton.
" animal. unmasks a century-long conspiracy of political, economic, and religious forces that have twisted our natural bond with meat–enslaving us to ill health and Big Pharma dependency. Through bold interviews, historical revelations, and groundbreaking science, it shatters nutritional myths and dares us to reclaim the ancestral diet that fueled our evolution."
Showing here (US), the trailer makes it look like it’s very much a propaganda level. I have no issues with Carnivore, but when you start out by saying things like we don’t need medicines and talk about patients coming out of wheelchairs… that kinda sets the tone of what they’re going for.
This is where VPNs are good, just stick yourself in the US and you’ll be good.
Reviews are a bit mixed. I had high hopes for this but seems it’s been dumbed down for a wider audience.
Think I’d prefer a bit more hard science … VPN’s a good idea Ifod
I believe that carnivore (and keto) can be a gift for many, but I think things go overboard when people say that they are bulletproof with sicknesses like covid, the flu, etc. Do I think you’re better off? Absolutely. Do I think you won’t get any of those or possibly die from them? No.
This seems like a doomed-to-fail pushback against Meat Bad, Plants Good. It’s a slippery slope, how to object to absurd dogma without resorting to … absurd dogma.
I am prepared to watch this (haven’t yet), but I rather fancy it is going to be little different to what you can see and hear from many carni You Tube channels. But I doubt I am the target audience.
I’ve got a hunch that Kerry Manns (homestead How) Docu Film, Healing Humanity, might be more like our usual watch. That one seems slow in the making?
Kerry’s problem is money. He is not a full time filmmaker, so he and his crew do it in their spare time. The Animal doc I think was fully funded (not sure by whom) and so they cranked it out pretty fast.
I think KerryM will have mixed feelings about Animal. He will obviously support its message, but alas it is eating his lunch.
Stole his thunder for sure. Though I hope they compliment each other. All adds to the evidence perhaps
@Pjam Thanks for raising this thread as I’d not heard of this documentary.
Just watched the trailer. Seems a bit rich, but I’d enjoy its overall direction. But paying for Amazon Prime is painful enough without have to fork over more $$ to watch a movie. Too much other stuff already on offer without an upcharge.
If/when it goes “free” with subscription, I’ll look forward to seeing it through. You’re probably not missing much over there in the UK.
Chow.
Same here. Think I know the message. I’m hoping it might reach those it need it the most. Appart from that it’s preaching to the converted
