Do You Dream Keto?

So I am very much into dreams and their symbolism. I was wondering if anyone else here has also had dreams regarding Keto? When I first started this life style I had a couple dreams that I was eating and accidentally ate something that had either sugar or lots of carbs. In my dream I would realize this after having a few bites and immediately spit it out and panic. Oh my I can’t believe I did that! I would be upset.

Of course to me this meant that I was afraid of failing, afraid I would eat something bad. Now it is interesting because when I do dream Keto dreams I’m smart. For example I had a dream last night someone wanted me to try this new Keto approved snack. (Broccoli pops) basically looked like pop corn but made from broccoli. In my dream I read the label and it said it contained “corn” I was like nope sry I can’t eat this, and I walked away.

So I think I have a good handle on this Keto stuff, even when dreaming lol. How about you? I would love to hear about your Keto dreams. :grinning:

I ALWAYS dream I’m eating non-keto foods! :joy:
Just last night I dreamed I was in a cafe type shop that sold chocolate cake, donuts, hot chocolate, etc, and just across the road was another shop that sold ice cream and crepes, I could see it all through the windows and I couldn’t decide what I wanted, but I knew I shouldn’t have it. It’s not the first dream I’ve had like that, some dreams I’m actually eating gummy bears and thinking to myself ‘I’ll get back into ketosis by tomorrow’. I’m fully aware of myself in these dreams. So weird!!!

Couple times ive had dreams were id be in a middle of eating ice cream or pizza and be like hey hold up, i cant eat this and i would realize in the dream that im just dreaming and then wake up.

Imo dreams mostly consist of situations and context where the brain is trying to prepare you for situations ur conscious and subconscious mind feels as a threat or somewhat hard situation to deal with. It is interesting tho like what decides what the context is gonna be? Lot of it comes from memories/creativity but who decides what or is it random?

Once I had a dream that I eat a 7day snack after another. 7days was one of my objects of binge indulgents. Woke up very scared. My gf told me to just eat one. I could not find pleasure in the taste anymore. Never craved or dreamed about it again

Sometimes it’s not random (I’ve had premonitions that have come true) other times dreams are completely random but I haven’t had these food dreams prior to Keto. It’s like I’m keeping myself in check subconsciously. Although the first few times I definitely ate the pizza, then felt guilty.

It’s rare that I dream about food any more but I do dream more vividly and seemingly more often than before keto… or maybe it’s just that our brains are performing more efficiently and a better memory is why it seems like we dream more.

Love this. At first I pictured a popsicle made of broccoli but after you descibed it looking like popcorn, I pitcured it as you imagined it.

When I was starting Keto, I had a couple food dreams, tho rarely now. Since Carnivore, my dreams have only gotten more vivid, and of recent have been very violent: one involved me getting shot, one involved me beating the crap out of someone, last night involved me stopping a knife fight. Difficult to tell whether or not that has anything to do with the diet, other than that the dreams are more vivid.

I have had those too but imo they are just coincidenses. I havent really noticed that big change in food dreams as ive always had them but not often.

Thats good.

I just woke up from most vivid realistic dream! I had to google if anyone else experience these dreams when doing Keto. It is so crazy that they are in color very detailed and I remember everything!
