Digestive issue resolved but 😔

(Mandy) #1

Almost 3 months into keto here. I was having some serious almost disaster pants daily… Lol. I took out the cream in my coffee, cut back veggies and some fat, spread out my salt over the day, nothing helped. Well… Turns out. It’s my coffee. Boooo!! Looking back to my pre keto days, I maybe had a little of this going on but i just thought it was life. I’ve switched to Earl Grey in the morning… Totally cleared. That’s sad for me but… Such is life.

One thing I can say, beyond just a WOE. Keto makes you really evaluate things in your diet. I may have just found a source of issue for me that’s been going on for years that I probably would have never even considered.

Thanks for reading.

So happy for you that you figured out the problem.

We have solved many health problems over the years in my family, and it’s all been a result of what we put or don’t put in our bodies. It’s always amazed me how many people don’t want to admit something in their diet could be contributing to their health problems.

Not this forum! This is a forum of problem solvers through diet. I love it.

Ugh. While it feels good to know what was causing me issues, I think im again grieving another loss… Lol. I’ve given up sugar, wheat, alcohol and now… My beloved… Coffee!! I think I’ll need a few days to sulk.

I feel the same way about Diet Coke. :weary:

You might try a quality decaf. Worked for me.:ok_hand:

I think i like the caffeine boost. If I don’t get it from the coffee… Eehh. Earl Grey doesn’t have the caffeine of coffee but… Maybe it’s just a mind trip though!

I went cold turkey on coffee because I cannot drink it without sugar or some sort of sweetener. Tea has replaced that now.

I am the same. I need some sort of sweet taste to coffee. When I drink earl Grey, I only use a Lil cream. I think the bergamot oil helps with that!
