Diet Bet

Has anyone one used the diet bet website for weight loss motivation before?

Never heard of it.

There are definitely advantages to providing external rewards and/or penalties to hack your brain or motivation.

I would advise caution with any books or websites that use the term “diet”, however. Keto isn’t a diet, which implies the ability to stop doing it once you reach your goals. Keto is a way of eating, and should be carried on for a lifetime, since the benefits go well beyond simply weight loss (even if that’s your most immediate goal).

Good luck!

I’ve known people in other groups who have used it. They seemed happy with it.

I did a couple times. I think it helps which challenge you choose, I did a smaller Fitbit one and was held more accountable that way. I didn’t do good in one of the celebrity trainer groups, too big for me.

I won like $3-$5 so the winnings was a bit of a let down. I didn’t like that they took 25% off the top.

Just my experience, I probably wouldn’t do it again.

I love it!

It’s not a way to rake tons of winnings. I don’t know why but putting down $10-$35 bucks really helps me keep course.

I go on a rock n roll cruise every January. After the one this year I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and set a goal of 1/3 less Dish (me) on the ship next year.

I jumped into a Transformer (6-month 10% goal) and a Kickstarter (4-week 4% goal). I’ve been doing multiple Kickstarters at a time. Once I hit my 10% goal in the Transformer, I signed up for another Transformer. It really helps me stay focused. If I stray away from Keto DB is enough to get me back on track.

In my experience you don’t really win very much money for a single challenge. I’ve won every one I’ve joined so far, thanks keto! My first transformer is not over yet. The way I look at it I’m betting on myself and my expectation is just to get the money I put in back (If you win, you will at minimum get the entry fee back). For me it’s always been a bit more. It’s not a lot of money but it adds up over time.

My plan is to hit my 1/3 goal and cash out on DB and take all my winnings to the cruise in 2019!
