I’ve got the DeLonghi as well & so far have just used Organic Refined Coconut Oil($7 at BJ’s 54oz. fills just right). I only used the Organic Refined Coconut Oil because I read that it has a higher smoke point than virgin. I found that when cooking the oil bubbled up a lot & often rose up & leaked over the side. Has anyone compared Coconut Oil to Tallow? How many times do you re-use the oil?

I’ve only used my fryer once - so no experience on how many times one can use the oil. I use Tallow - it’s a little smokey but not terrible. If anything, the smell is worse than the smoke. It’s not horrible, just smells like a stinky cow.
