I like to drink lots of tasty liquids. I try to mix it up so I don’t ingest too much [fill in the blank].
I drink cocoa once or twice a day. I make it the lazy way, the same as you would instant coffee: put a teaspoon in the cup, add hot water, and stir. I’m not willing to stir it in a pot and all that–and anyway I don’t have the facilities to do so.
Recently I bought the Rodelle brand online. It has good ratings, but it was so blah I had to add half a teaspoon of ginger to each cup to make it palatable.
I was reading about cocoa, and apparently the cocoa with high fat content tastes better (e.g., 23% rather than 10%). And of course it’s better for keto. Unfortunately most of the recommended high-fat brands aren’t available in Canada.
I can get Callebaut and Green & Black’s on Amazon.ca.
Fry’s is available everywhere, and I like it fine. But the nutrition information is for such small quantities that I can’t figure out the fat content. Also, it’s Dutched (has alkali added) which is supposed to be not so healthy.
@atomicspacebunny posted info about cacao vs. cocoa. I’d like to try cacao, and Amazon.ca has it. But I’m wondering how it tastes, and how well it dissolves in a cup of hot water.
Thank you!
