Day 8

(Mark) #1

Well im a newbie and just got to 8 days in. The results are extraordinary lost 13 lbs! Start weight was 205 and now at 192. Im pretty active at work and at night go to the gym and do 3 miles, 4 out of the 8 days. Not sure if me being active and gym got me to lose that much that quickly. I know a few changes on my body. My wedding band is too loose to wear, my face looks more narrow ( less of a double chin) lol. Energy is level is insane i can sit down just always on the run. Been keeping my balance 65 fat 30 protein and 5 carb, it seems to be making all thos happen quickly… so if your considering to try it, DO IT. Best thing i ever did!

Removing my post because I misunderstood some information.

He might mean percentage? 65/30/5
Anyways, keep it up! Don’t starve yourself at first and don’t get burnt out exercising too much. Take it slow.

Yep - pretty sure he means 65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs. That’s how I read it. Adds up to 100.

Haha. My bad. I apologise. I saw the numbers and my heart fell out of my chest!

@Mkidd you are definitely on the right track.

Great job starting out. When you drop weight quickly at first, it is most likely water weight. Once you have dropped that excess water weight, the loss according to the scale will slow down (or may even stop for a bit) but don’t let that discourage you. It’s perfectly normal. A better indicator is to take measurements and go by how your clothes feel. It takes 4-6 weeks, sometimes more since everyone is different, to become fully fat adapted. You’re rebuilding your metabolic machinery to become an efficient fat burner, and that takes some time. Just keep calm and keto on, make sure you are eating enough food to keep yourself satiated, and make sure to keep your daily carb intake below 20g.
