Hey Im new here and i love this diet day 3 lol. I need to learn a lot. Whats a cheap easy way to tell if you are in ketosis and what shpuld i avoid eatimg lots of? So far Ive just stuck to brocli and cauliflower,spinnach,cabbage,onion, avacado in my meals for carbs and for protien just pork and eggs. Im going off my samsung health to see where my macros are at so far so good. But Im flying blind when it comes to my meals I wiegh about 400lbs and i want to drop atleast half of that so if you all could point me the right way for meal plans that would be awesome.

Welcome. I don’t test for ketones so I can’t speak to that. I would avoid relying too heavily on dairy.

Ive been thinking the same about dairy.

Limit carbs to 20 grams or less per day for a week and see if you’re still alive. If so, you’re in ketosis. If not, then Keto may not be right for you.

Don’t forget that one medium onion has a whopping 10 grams of carbs.:policeman:

I hope so i learned that a bit at the begining when i was putting the food i ate into my ap to calculate it. I was like oh noo😣 not onions too.

Any root vegetable will have a fair amount of carbs because that’s where the plant stores it’s “energy” to grow.
