I’m so full up after my lunch that I feel a bit nauseous… I know it’s the fat I’ve eaten and I’m unlikely to need any more food for the day as the fat keeps me satisfied for the rest of the day… It’s day 2 of being strictly keto… had holidays so kinda fell off the wagon a bit for a month. Need to drink more water… Only had 1liter or so today but it’s only 1pm … also need to not drink coke zero… don’t think it does me any good . gym agsin tonight… See if I can work as hard as I did last night.weight went down this morning so that’s a good sign
Day 2 of the return
That’s the ticket, if you fall off the wagon or stray, just come back to it. Our journeys are all different. There’s support for you here. smile:
That’s your fat tissue sending the message to your brain that you don’t need to eat any more food. Too much insulin disrupts this signaling, which is mediated by leptin secretions from your adipose tissue. It’s not really nausea, just leptin telling the hypothalamus that there is plenty of energy on board, and the hypothalamus is putting on the brakes.
I’m with you! Trying to get back strict, and I’m going through Carb Flu, worse this time than when I first started keto.
But at least I know what it is, and I know I’ll feel better afterwards. We can do this!
I think I’m Leptin resistant (along with being isulin resistant), so I can’t remember ever feeling that way. The only signal I get is the stretch receptors. Better than nothing.
Problems with the ventromedial hypothalamus can cause issues with appetite, according to the endocrinologist, Robert H. Lustig.
Possibly… I don’t rule anything out per se. But I’ve also been overweight since age 6. So because it was so long ago (yeah, I’m over the hill) that is why I can’t remember ever having that nauseous feeling after overeating. Only the ‘my eyes are too big for my stomach’ feeling.
