Day 1 tomorrow! So excited

(Shantres) #1

So I am going to weigh in 1st thing in the morning!
This has been a long journey. 2 years ago I lost 163lbs or more & quit & gained from 146lbs size 4 to 295lbs weigh in at beginning of this month size 20.

I have one of my best friends committing to do this with me! And I have y’all.

So many things have happened as to why I did it but I do not have to stay here. Carb & sugar addicted and using food as a crutch whenever something goes wrong or even to celebrate.

I can enjoy what I eat & make a conscience decision to do the next right thing.

I want to be fit, mentally, physically & spiritually. I can have it all. I also want a balanced life. And to pursue some of my dreams. Like document my Weightloss. I am starting right here!

Wahoo! I feel like a million buck about to multiply into a billion!

Congratulations on getting started tomorrow. Did you do keto when you lost weight 2 yrs ago, or something else? I’m looking forward to your progress!

(Shantres) #3

No, I actually just cut all forms of sugar & flour. But it is very similar to keto but I ate 2 grains oatmeal & brown rice which is not part of keto.

Welcome and good luck!

Welcome, after a few months you won’t even want any carbs. It has been a year for me and I think it is so easy now.

(traci simpson) #9

Carbs aren’t all created equal. I still like carbs - veggie’s! love them and will always each some sort of carbs.

(hottie turned hag) #10

Wow you have such a lovely face, pretty as a picture (I’m an older lady so don’t be creeped out) If you did it before you know you can do it again, eliminating the grains you allowed prior may be the very thing you need to prevent relapse.

Welcome, dear, and have a few cute animals from me for encouragement

:tropical_fish: :beetle: :snail: :baby_chick: :mouse:

(Susan) #16

Yes you can, Shantres, you have a great attitude and that is a big factor in success, you go girl!

(Parker the crazy crone lady) #17

OMG. I totally understand! Two years ago I was at 140 and then I went back up to almost 200 pounds.
Welcome and make sure to stick around and read through the various threads for help and inspiration if/when you need it. :hugs:

This is so messed up, but good!
I have nothing to lose & everything to lose.
I am doing okay. I added intermittent fasting.
Water, I need to drink more water!
Well, I am up because I just found out my husband is cheating on me. It is not the 1st time. And he has been on Plenty of Fish. Lol!
I am not going to say a thing!
I have to work on me. I am loving, kind, smart, fun, beautiful, worthy, loyal, funny, baddie in between the sheets thick or fit, I am a great mother! I don’t want to tell my friends so I get on this darn forum.
I am free! This is the 1st time I don’t give a rats tiny little hinny. All of our kids are almost out of the house. I have paid for a trip to Europe next year. And I am going to love me! I love me! Who I have become & who God is shaping me to be & that is resilient! Like a diamond, to cut glass & so bright that in the eyes of some I sparkle & others have to turn away.

I am sorry that you are having to deal with that, Shantres. I am not going to tell you what to do or how to handle the situation, because those decisions and choices are yours alone to make. IF it was me, I would kick him to the curb and get a good lawyer, but this is you, so you have to do you!

Adding a lot of water is very important, and getting enough electrolytes. Try to keep the carbs to 20 grams or less, NO Sugar, no snacks, and 2 meals a day if you are doing IF. I do 1pm and 5pm and Fast daily 20 hours, from 5pm-1pm. If you are just starting that might be too big a window for you, so maybe 16:8 or 18:6 will be an easier window for you. Best wishes, and if you have any questions or want to talk, we are here =).

(Shantres) #20

I can do that schedule! I work from 11-7pm and my lunch is at 2pm so I can do it thanks!

I am working on the water intake too! I love the alkaline water from ALDI.

Lastly his day is coming.

I started logging my food in MyFitness Pal. I commit to myself to be more consistent! I use to log like clockwork when I meal prepped before.

The NO Sugar! No snacks! I can do it! So far I have had a couple of slips but I am forgiven & moving on. I finally cut the snacks a couple of days ago!

I love everyone on this forum! I am not alone!

Great, Shantres, you will succeed with that good, positive attitude. Just remember that no one deserves to be cheated on, and I hope you will do something about that too =).
