Dairy free, low carb and high fat food list

(Frances Reyna) #1

So I am gonna try to cut dairy from my diet becAuse I think that’s where all the red bumps acne looking stuffs on my face are coming from. Can someone pls help me with food lists that belong to these categories? It’s so hard to be on keto diet without dairy but My face is getting worse. My period is over and theyre still there. I’m using tea tree oil but it’s not really helping. Im Asian. I didn’t grow up having lots of dairy. So when I got into this woe my dairy intake went from zero to a hundred. That’s why I’m thinking dairy to be the culprit. I just need to find food that are still high in fat and low carb. I’m gonna start with of course AVOCADO. Pls help!

There are multiple things in dairy that could be the cause so you might want to experiment a bit more. Lactose in milk, casein (protein) in some cheese, A1 vs A2 milk sources, etc.
Finding what the allergen that impacts you is may well help avoid the mass restriction.

I don’t know much about it per se but I would set up an elimination diet (cut all dairy) and then add things back in based on understanding the key allergens.

Maybe you can get away with cheese, yogurt but not milk or have to cut cheese but keep butter or maybe you need to change the dairy source (from A1 to A2 cows?) etc. Ghee is so clarified that it may have no allergenic effect so could replace butter.

As for other fat sources - EVOO, macadamias (other nuts too), high fat meats (ribeye, pork belly/bacon, chicken thigh WITH skin, NB - lamb is often overlooked - shoulder, belly roll and neck are super fatty and super yum and avoid most cultural restrictions).

73/27 ground beef is a personal favorite.

Adding to what others have added:
Olives, mayonnaise made with egg and oil (try to find a non industrial seed oil version or make at home). Coconut oil. Coconut butter. Chocolate made with Cocoa butter. Cocoa butter. coconut milk and cream, macadamia oil, nuts, eggs, veggies with fats (duck fat, bacon fat, olive oil, seseme oil, roasted nuts.)

Some people find a coconut yogurt they like.
Diet doctor has a number of dairy free meal plans. Just looking at them now made me think I might be able to find some things to help me go lower in dairy.

Conduct a test

fast for 8-12 hours before and first thing try eat these 3 things on 3 seperate days

day 1:cottage cheese = High caesin content

day: 2:half and half = Lactose

day:3 hard cheese = A1 A2 dairy

evaluate these and see which one it is
