Is Daikon the exception when we say to choose veg grown above the ground over the ones grown underground?

It’s very watery and very abundant in my country.

It’s a cruciferous/brassica veggie and ok to eat on low carb. I add daikon to my fermented foods or have in salad. I cup of daikon = about 6 carbs so not ‘cheap’ but doable and yummy
