Cured and uncured

Is there a preference for keto with cured or uncured for meats?

I think you will hear a lot of opinions. To me cured meat is processed meat. So I tend to limit it slightly with some exceptions. I do eat bacon a few times a week and I have a slice or two of salami or pepperoni less than once a week.

When I travel I take beef Jerky with me for the ease of getting protein. People’s Choice makes some zero carb jerky.

There has been media reports that curing meat and high temp grilling increases cancer risk.

Dr Berry dispels that myth:

And Nina Teicholz does also. I’m not sure which of her videos covers this topic but several do. If you don’t know about Nina Teicholz you need to watch some of her videos.

So my preferences is fresh meat cooked for meals but I am not a zealot. I even eat some sliced lunch meat. My preference in order is beef, pork, poultry. I eat omega 3 heavy fisk at least 3 times a week. Salmon, sardines, anchovies, mackerel. I kind of like these strong fishes.
