Units ?

Is it mg/L ? Normal for that is <6 (my lab)

EDIT;

The reference range for C-reactive protein is as follows:
CRP: 0-10mg/L
High-sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP): < 3 mg/L

Did you forget a decimal ? 26.1 ?

Inflammation tends to go down on a Keto diet. CRP is an inflammation test.

Hi ,
no I didn’t forget the decimal point. Dr said it should be 5 or lower thanks Liz

Yikes! Sounds as though your husband has a lot of inflammation somewhere. If anything a ketogenic diet helps to reduce inflammation. (That’s because it allows the pancreas to greatly lower its insulin production, and insulin stimulates a number of inflammatory processes.) Do you have the result of an earlier test you could compare with, or is this the first time your husband’s CRP was measured?

I would definitely encourage him to give the keto way of eating a good long chance before giving up on it. If he could stay keto for another three months, say, and then get his CRP tested again, the results might surprise you.
