Cream question for Brits!

(Michael Wallace Ellwood) #21

Yes…that’s the makings of a classic English “cream tea”:

Cut the scone in half
butter liberally
add jam
add the cream (you can do it the other way round as well).

Deliciously deadly!

I wonder if one can make scones with almond flour? Leave out the jam of course, but it could still make a reasonable “cream tea”.

Alternatively… spread cream on the butter and eat?

I smell a new thread. Look out for it in Keto Chat

I’m sorry…I thought people might be grossed out by my adding what is basically cream on to cream and just eating the result, without further accompaniment. I now realise that I was under-estimating my audience, for which I sincerely apologise, and now wish to withdraw the word: “disgusting”.

Sounds delightful to me!

Made these last month & they were good. I left out the lemon ingredients to have them plain, with plenty of cream & a tiny bit of homemade chia blueberry jam.

Thanks!
