Cravings ugh

#1

Close to a week in after a week break and I’ve got such intense cravings for Nanaimo bars and chocolate… how do I battle them?!

Eat a bunch of fat. I think that’s the standard advice

Also consider taking (more) magnesium or eating foods rich in it, as chocolate is high in magnesium (and even more mainstream diets cite this link).

As a last resort, maybe search for a keto recipe for Nanaimo bars or their components or have some Lily’s chocolate, if there is any near you.

You can find bakers chocolate that has very little carbs in it. Its bitter and tastes awful but it might help idk. I find that the taste makes consumption self-limiting.

There’s plenty of chocolate made with erythritol. Lilys chocolate is incredible. My body seems to get an insulin response to sweeteners so i use them sparingly but it’s absolutely possible to have an amazing keto chocolate bar.

I’m in Canada and haven’t heard of lilys chocolate is it at health food stores?

Our traditional supermarkets (Giant, Harris Teeter, Wegmans, Safeway, etc.) carry it.

Make some chocolate fat bombs. There are lots of recipes here, just do a search.
