Anyone else having a struggle with staying keto right now…between self-quarantine and lack of product selection at stores it is getting kind of hard here…
Covid-19
No. At least not yet. The only thing I’ve been unable to purchase recently is Walmart’s GV cream cheese. There’s lots of Philly available in multiple groceries, but it has double the carbs.
Just the opposite for me. Staying at home, shopping less, means fewer temptations. I did get 6 pounds of peanut butter, which I don’t buy because of abuse potential, but the jars are out of sight and sealed.
I’ve also worked out a meal plan that is easy to adjust calories up or down but keeps me full all day. It took a while to figure that out.
I also have found some out of stock situations but finally got everything topped off according to plan and won’t need to shop again for 12 days. That should give the grocery sellers time to anticipate demand.
Hi Grant. There are plenty of smart keto people here. The virus has thrown us the challenge to eat as healthy as we can.
Remember that nutritional ketosis can be achieved in some people by doing intermittent eating in a prescribed eating window. That is eat only two meals. Eat those two meals within 6 hours of the first meal to the second meal. The longer the gap between the end of the second meal and the start of the first meal the next day, the more likely a person will spend a significant time in natural ketosis.
There are these type of ketogenic strategies that don’t need much food, as long as a person has some body fat stores.
But what is your context for being keto? That will help people answer.
