Couple questions from a stressed newbie 😟

Ok so im thinking just give up the smoothies and stick with black coffee. I do think i may try the heavy cream just to take the edge off…i am around food literally all day…so i guess i could just sip the coffee all morning.

I think you have to be in ketosis then. I use the urine strips too but find the time I take the reading significantly affects the result. Don’t test in the early part of the day, don’t test shortly after a meal, and don’t test shortly after exercise. I always test at around 5 pm (before my one meal) or before bedtime for my best readings. Any testing before about 1 pm gives me a negative or trace reading but by 5 pm, assuming that I’ve been compliant, my reading is about 6 mmol (between moderate and high).

That is so interesting, i never thought about the timing, i have been checking first thing in the morning, i will start teying different times and seeing if that has any effect, thank you so much!

I’m not super into breakfast, or eggs really. So my breakfast is coffee with heavy whipping cream (HWC,) cinnamon, unsweetened cocoa, and an egg mixed with an immersion blender. You don’t even taste the egg, it just makes it creamier. Today I used two eggs. I mix it and then add a bit to each cup of coffee from my French press. If I have to go early, I try to drink most of the cofee slurry while getting ready so I can get the rest of it into my travel mug without over diluting the coffee.
