Country style boneless pork ribs?

But just to reiterate, in my 55 years, I have never seen any evidence that the people that worry about every possible threat of cancer, get sick any less or any more, than the people who don’t worry about it at all…
Other than smokers… Or shipyard workers with asbestos, or people exposed to agent orange…
Their are only a few things that have been proven beyond a reasonable doubt to cause cancer.
The rest is so vague, it’s not worth worrying about.

It might even be worse than that. When my wife had breast cancer (in her early 40s), the doctor said, “I’ve got a clinic full of women out there who were doing everything right”. Of course, “right” mean the SAD, or going vegetarian, and adding in chronic cardio.

When I started seeing, “Chris said…” I was like WTF !!! Took quite a while to find the whole name Chris Kessler. I sure wouldn’t want to be quoted for any of that horse cr@p  lol

I stand by the fact that cancer is so random, worrying about stuff like this will have pretty much ZERO affect on whether or not one gets it. Pretty sure I will end up getting it myself, but it won’t be because I SV’d in Ziplocs.

I agree. For myself, one of the advantages of being 70 is that I most likely don’t have time to get cancer from sous vide bags.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It’s so quick and easy to do sous vide. I love the way the food comes out and no mess and splatter all over my stove. I use a heat gun to sear the outside. I used a hand-held propane torch for a couple of weeks, but it made a mess & made the smoke detector go off Plus I’m relatively clumsy and me waving around an open flame is not a good idea in so very many ways.

I did try to talk my husband into buying me one of the big flamethrowers from Harbor Freight to use outside, but he said we don’t have enough fire insurance on the house. He’s such a party pooper. When we were remodeling our old house, I wanted stilts so I could do all the drywall and he said no. Sigh.

Hey Bob, by now you probably get that I feel like cancer is pretty much impossible to prevent. It’s pretty much completely random (with a few notable exceptions). However, with that said, it seems to me that if anything might have a possible preventative effect, it would be in eating the way were were designed too. And Keto is SO much closer to that, than the standard American diet, I’d think that it should help. That, and their are more and more studies showing that cannabis (CBD’s) can help prevent, and even cure some forms of cancer. We have one friend who swears it has cured his cancer (or knocked it way down) and has saved his life. And btw, I haven’t smoked 1 hit for 4 yrs, because my GF doesn’t do it. I guess she doesn’t care if I get cancer…

 lol My torch is just indispensable ! And using it on top of my outdoor grille, there is basically nothing that can catch on fire, or be hurt by fire. No worries of smoke, spatter, anything. In fact, I use my torch to clean / burn off my grille

That’s a great idea except we don’t have a grill. Also, we get lots of snow from December through March.

I don’t know how I could get by without a grille. I use ours probably 3-5 times a week ! BBQ’s, Sous Vide searing, and now coffee roasting
