Have you used this calculator? You may have to guesstimate on some of it (body fat percentage, deficit) but it will give you good ranges to start with.

Are you tracking everything you take in?

On top of the initial calculating of macros, I’d recommend finding a keto app for your phone that you can track everything in. I use one called keto Diet Tracker (paid version) but there are probably better ones out there. i was once told by someone who handled money well that if a person relaly waanted to get a handle on their finances, they need to write down every time they spend money … maybe for a month or so. It was eye opening to find all the palaces I was spending money that I would not have thought of if I worked off the top of my head.

I think (for many people not all) eating keto is the same way. When you start out, you don’t really know what all you’ve eaten in terms of carbs, protein, fat, calories until you start tracking it. The better apps have a database of common foods. Mine has a bar code scanner that recognizes most foods packaged with a bar code and it will give me the nutritional breakdown. A dedicated keto app will give you the option of net vs total carbs. There is a free app on my fitness pal but it takes some hacking to make it keto friendly. I was overwhelmed enough when I started keto so I downloaded a few dedicated keto apps to my phone, used the youtube tutorials and stuck with one I personally found easiest to use. I would recommend you do the same … try a few and find out which one makes sense to you.

Staring out people will (and I think it’s generally good avice) tell you just to watch your carbs and keep them at or under 20 grams. based on your original post you wanted more information. A dedicated keto app simplifies things. My favorite example is I thought milk was harmless … right? One cup of 2% milk has 13 net carbs … more than half of the daily allowance for keto. Who knew? i was happily drinking my milk and wondering why nothing was changing for me. Anyway, on top of recommending the keto app, Id recommend the paid version (usually the free version is very limited) for a few months until this starts becoming second nature.

Others will probably address the goal, but if you want to get the most results possible between now and your big day, I’d advise making sure you’re eating like you think you are. The only way to do that is by tracking what you eat.

Good luck with it and I suspect that on your wedding day, your man will be ecstatic when he sees you regardless of how much you lose between now and then. Brides have a magic glow on their wedding day.

I wish you well.

There are several free apps out there for tracking food macros. I use MyFitnessPal. Not perfect but it’s free and it works.

I would say the biggest mistake beginners on Keto make is to try to restrict calories. This isn’t a CICO Diet, so don’t do it. It will actually slow down and even stahl your weight loss.

Get your carbs below 20g per day. You can either do total carbs or net (total carbs grams - fiber grams). Either way is fine. Eat moderate protein and then eat fat to satiety. You want something close to a 75F, 20P, 5F breakdown.

Your actual grams will depend on your height, weight and age.

This is a visual of what a pretty good day looks like for me.

Macros are easy. Two thirds meat and at least one third fat. By weight, after cooking. Small amounts of fiberous veggies are fine, as long as they don’t exceed 5% of total calories.
