Sour cream is good - you can add some chili powder and or ground cumin or some Italian seasonings other seasonings.
Constant low pressure issue
Today I tried with lemon and salt and itâs barely ok if I donât chew , sorry but it tastes simply awful, I canât eat this without losing self-respect Maybe I should try blending with something else tasting bad so they could compete ( and competition brings success
)
But on the plus side, Iâm now more grateful for other foods God provided.
Are you eating them before they are ripe? Not to ask a dumb question but, they do taste different when under-ripe and when âjust rightâ.
Avocado should be slightly soft to the touch when ripe, and yellow inside, at least the middle of it. When itâs ripe you can mush it with a fork. I add a little bit of tomato, onion, cilantro and lemon juice to it, lots of salt and pepper and it tastes fine. Also you could mush it and mix it with boiled eggs and some lemon juice and dill and make an egg salad.Or mix it with tuna for a tuna salad. I also tried mixing it with cocoa and liquid stevia to make a avocado pudding but I wasnât thrilled about it.
Search for keto recipes online. For instance I saw a tuna melt, tuna, mayo and shredded cheese in the oven, people said it tastes super good. Also you can search for keto mug cakes, or keto fat bombs so you can increase you fat intake. I like butter mixed with cocoa powder and liquid stevia, it tastes just like chocolate cake filling.
I tried some of the recipes on this site and they were pretty good: https://www.ruled.me/keto-recipes/ look at them and maybe you can find something that seems appetizingâŚ
I let avocados alone to see if they will get ripe or rotten
And for the records, I still have same issue but less severe so happier at the moment. Btw, I realized that olive itself is a very good source of fat and fiber ( not sure if true but one source was listing olive as 1g carb - 1g fiber therefore 0g carb) and increased my daily consumption from 0 to more And got some litesalt ( took a while to realize its called âsalt with lessened sodiumâ here ) will also switch to sea salt as well ( I didnât buy claims of Himalayan salt )
Are you on blood pressure meds? If so you may need to speak to your Dr about lowering or coming off them. Is your blood sugar low when you are lightheaded (hypoglycemia).
If it doesnât turn out to be either of those or the keto flu or an electrolyte imbalance (which it is more likely to be) have your urine cortisol levels and possibly autoimmune tests by a Dr as it sounds like adrenal fatigue/insufficiency.
You can also test yourself of you have a blood pressure monitor by sitting taking a reading then standing up.and taking a reading straight after. If your blood pressure falls lower than your sitting when you stand (it is supposed to rise when you stand up) it is important that you talk to a Dr as it could be a sign of adrenal insufficiency or Addisonâs.
No, I use nothing but metformin (and also stopped it for few days, not sure if it was good idea though) and recently B12 along with folic acid. ( Doctor didnât let me for multivitamin as blood test is fine )
I had no such issue before I got into Ketoish low carb diet so I donât think itâs something that can be named as X disease but will eventually come to that part if it doesnât get better in meaningful time. (few weeks?)
Actually doctor mentioned that many people live happily after on even lower pressures so not sure if itâs cause or just side effect of Keto(-flu) .
Metformin can cause lightheadedness apparently I just looked it up.
If it is keto flu have you tired an electrolyte drink?
I have a keto lemonade every day made of sea salt or Himalayan with some of that lite salt with a small amount of lime or lemon juice and a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. I then top the glass up with mineral water. When I have drunk half the water I top it up again with mineral water using the same glass until the salt dissolves. For me this really helps the Keto flu.
My blood pressure has dropped since doing Keto. (130âs/80 to 115- 120/ 65-75). So has my resting heart rate (from 70âs to 58-59 beats per minute.
If it continues to be a problem though go see your Dr. Better safe than sorry.
Didnât have recent check due to laziness but was around 10/7 or so not too low but low enough I believe
I already stopped taking metformin few days ago , not sure how much it helped.
Will check this electrolyte drink , thank you. Also considering getting one of this scales giving some idea about fat% , water% etc although accuracy is debatable, at least trend might give idea.
My problem is it is low even if I stopped keto for few days But I sense that my body is happier until carb is depleted than making scene
Hello there o/ ,
Not because you care but because just FYI :
I have no longer such issue severely, still not as good as it was before but at least can maintain few kilometers of walks without issue.
During this time , I added multivitamin and litesalt to diet and also found âholy grail food of keto dietâ ( it is basically mayonnaise + yoghurt + meat + salad stuff + olive oil + pickles ) so things are going well for now
Thanks for the update. Good to hear things are working out.
Do you make your own mayo?
Unfortunately even though I want I donât due to concerns of âshelf lifeâ which would force me to make small amounts all the time. ( Tbh, I have no idea of shelf life but donât expect more than few days )
