I swear companies are picking up on trends of evil and trying to make us overweight again.
Companies are jumping on the bandwagon of Keto and trying to make us overweight again
Those are not “keto” as we talk about it here, they are just “no sugar”.
The sugar free yellow cake mix still has 350 grams of carbs per box.
Keto (as far as I know) on a label, is meaningless and can best be said to be “keto friendly”.
But “keto friendly” can be anything, macro breakdown, skipping carbs “believed” not to affect people, fake sweeteners instead of sugar, very small serving size etc.
I’m looking at the ingredients and thinking maybe I’ll take a pass. But people are going to be misled.
Why oh why oh why can’t we just eat fresh food cooked from raw?
If you eat food that is only one ingredient then you simply don’t have to worry about stuff made in a factory.
Beef, pork, lamb, chicken, eggs butter.
Cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, spinach.
Its so simple yet we have to try and make it so difficult for ourselves…
Why?
I totally agree with all of these comments I have one simple rule if it reads like a book I don’t eat it
Borrowing very poorly from Eleanor Roosevelt — ‘No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.’
No one can make you eat garbage without your consent.
Exactly!
Except, people still believe this is okay “food”, and not garbage. Cuz the gubberment wouldn’t allow poisons in the grocery store, riiiiight? cough choke die
Some people might be… but only people who don’t understand the very simple concept “very low or zero carbs”… not low or no sugar… These are obviously two different things.
So I was looking at those ingredients too, and as I have said recently, alcohol sugars are freaking stupid ! And I think that cake mix uses ALL of them ! Heck, with some of them, you might have well used straight sugar, and just cut back a tiny bit, as they can still have 2/3 rds the carb cals as straight sugar !
Yea’ but low, or zero carb poisons are okay lol
It reminds me of my brother (who I worry about). He saw something on Dr. Oz I think about a keto supplement and went ahead and ordered it. He didn’t get any results and then admitted he had no idea you had to make any dietary changes.
