Cold water, Is it bad?

(Keto Koala 🐨) #21

@lfod14 Yes, i had to confess i was a BAD girl.:scream::wink::joy::rofl:. Water does SUCK!!! :joy:. Like you, yup, when i worked hardcore with Racehorses I would get sooooo thirsty, I would be putting my mouth around the hose and just swallowing it down.:flushed::joy: I was too busy to actually go to the staff room and drink it from the fridge. I hate it too usually. I’m glad I’m not alone.:joy:. I used to put lemon into it to make it better. What is Meyer lemons?? Never heard of them. Hybrid lemons. Mmmmmm. Now you got my interest. :lemon::lemon::lemon:.:heart:

@Rclause I know, its a bit silly. But i hate water so damn much that I like to get it over and done with. I’ve tried the sipping throughout the day thing and I just end up so annoyed that I stop. So I glug it all down so it’s done and dusted.

(Keto Koala 🐨) #23

@SomeGuy Yeah I agree, it’s just I hate it. But I’ll do it anyway. Cos it’s good to flush out the infection. The UTI.

(Keto Koala 🐨) #24

@PaulL Yes UTI"s also cause fever, so I need to flush out the bacteria. I hate the taste of plain water too, cos it tastes like " nothing" liquid air.:joy::joy:. Although when it’s tap water, I can taste the fluride and other gross things. But sometimes like now, tap water is the only option. I know I could boil it and then put it in the fridge but I’m too lazy so down the hatch it goes, straight from the tap. So it’s ok to drink coffee with a UTI?? Cos I have a sore throat and the hot coffee helps. I could drink tea but there’s more caffeine in coffee and I’m a bit of an addict with it.:joy::coffee:

Certain foods and drinks are known to cause bladder irritation and worsen UTI symptoms. Avoid these six foods and drinks if you

(Keto Koala 🐨) #26

@Momof5 Awwwwww damn, thanks for that Mom.:wink::joy:. That sucks but I guess it makes sense. It’s just I’m a caffeine addict and tea dosent wake me up.enough. oh boy. :sob::sob::wink::joy::heart::heart::heart::heart:

(Keto Koala 🐨) #28

@Chantarella I’m scared of the sugar content though. Is there lots of sugar in there??

#29

they have a low carb version. but I wouldn’t mess around with an UTI. you might even need an antibiotic.

(Keto Koala 🐨) #30

@Chantarella oh god. I only just got off antibiotics for a stomach ulcer.. Have you ever had a UTI??? Ain’t they painful!!!

Speaking of cold water I turn on the ice cold shower (or ice bath with ice cubes) and then decide to jump in for 1 minute maybe two; that then (after some time and more attempts day after day) becomes 15 minutes to an hour or more.

Speeds up my metabolism and burns body fat (eat as many carbs as you want), the ultimate Leptin reset button or you could just eat meat (and suffer the thermal effect of meat sweats and lack of variety in foods)…lol

I’m with Ifod14 on adding lemons to water. That’s kinda my go-to anymore.

I don’t really care for just plain water. I’ll drink it, especially if it’s cold, but I’d prefer almost anything else. But I did discover that a little lemon in the water makes it very enjoyable for me. It doesn’t even take all that much.

We have a half gallon jug that we put a cut up lemon into and it will get filled with water and lives in the refrigerator. When we drink out of it, the lemon stays in the jug and we continue to refill the water. That goes on for several days until we decide it’s time for a new lemon. It’s not much, but it’s enough to make the water something I prefer instead of only something I’ll tolerate. I know there’s not really much in there. But it works for me!

FWIW, I tried Meyer lemons a couple of times. Don’t know why but I actually prefer the plain ol’ sour lemons. I’ve tried oranges, too. And as much as I like sweet things, I always end up back at the ol’ sour lemons.

I’ve heard of a few people using other things, like maybe cucumbers, too. Hey, if it works for you and water becomes something you enjoy, great!

I used to drink a lot of stuff that was HORRIBLE for me. I drank Pepsi. I drank Mountain Dew. I drank sweet tea. And I loved them all. But they did not love me. Switched to brewing my own green tea / spearmint mix and sweetening it with a little stevia. That was a good stepping stone for me. Kinda got away from that and started just putting a little lemon in water and that’s what’s stuck. On occasion, I’ll add extra lemon and some stevia and it becomes lemonade… but that’s only occasionally.

Good luck!
