Hello guys.

Since I eat one meal a day (70% fats, 30% protein and 5% fiber carbs) I have cold fingers. Why is that?

What can I do to correct this problem?

I’ve watched this video made by Dr. Berg and he tells us 4 potential problems that causes cold fingers.

What are your thoughts on this? Are you experiencing the same problem while eating one meal a day?

Any suggestion would be much appreciated. Thanks!

If you find out, let me know. :grinning: It could be fasting, which causes reduced blood flow to extremities. It could be thyroid. It might be both. I have found that taking some iodine for me seems to help but not cure this. I have found that I still need to go outside when fasting, to get warm (obviously, this is in the summer).

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #3

It could also simply be lack of protein. Try increasing your protein a bit.

Paul, I assume you mean for Ovidiu, as I eat a higher protein diet a la Ted Naiman. I’m waaaaayyyy over my protein “macro”. Just had blunch (don’t eat breakfast) of top round (very lean steak), pork chops (very lean) with a splurge of 1 sausage (to get it out of our fridge) and some blue cheese (for vitamin k2) for lunch. Pretty much every time I eat, my cold hands go away. They are warm now and were cold to the point I thought they were cold when I touched my face, only a little while ago. (NOTE: I also took three drops of Lugol’s iodine, but I don’t think that could affect me that quickly…but I could be – often am – wrong.)

I’ve been looking for a solution to this for well over a year now. It may just be something I have to live with: fasting = cold hands.

Thank you for your answers guys.

I will increase my protein intake.

Can someone help me figure out how many calories are in 500 grams of grilled pork neck?

I also wanna know how many grams of fat contains 500 grams of pork neck.

Thanks!

Found it.

Potential negative effects of intermittent fasting and LCHF

Is it normal that during fast I am quite cold? like hands and feet … especially feet at night thanks. Hope Its not the sign my REE [Resting Energy Expenditure] is going down.

No, it is not normal to be cold – it means your REE is going down. Try to eat sufficiently on eating days.
