Great article! Thanks for sharing.

we should remeber that McD’s are thinking about pulling out of FIFA sponsor. Could be corruption but maybe something far more fundamental going on.

Fascinating article. The sands are shifting, but I note that they still say that a plant-based diet “is the only one that’s been shown to prevent and reverse heart disease.”

of course they do, the dogma is still there and on debates on twitter I always ask for the science and …

yep silence.

I know some of us are veggie/vegan but the agenda at the top of dietary organisations has been overtaken by them and as we know from Gary Tuabes through 7DA in California, in Australia Sanofil etc

but they have shifted their attack to now global warming and how animals cause it … again all premised on one study from the UN who have been compromised by big wheat etc

Public health advocates and medical doctors say that the soda industry’s campaign to promote physical fitness was a calculated maneuver to shift the blame for its prominent contribution to the nation’s obesity epidemic. Now, as soda consumption falls in the United States, Coca-Cola is backing away from funding its fitness initiative. But public health officials accuse it of exporting America’s obesity problem to developing nations.

How is entire article and video clip not a calculated maneuver on the part of public heath advocates to shift attention away from their tremendously damaging dietary recommendation by getting people to focus on corporate villains? Has not the diet-heart hypothesis been exported to the rest of the world? There is certainly a lot of blame to assign for expanding human bodies; personal choices and responsibility, corporate interests and profits, but at the pinnacle of the obesity issue is public health policy.

In the video, the claim is made that the public is not following public heath nutritional advice, but the data show that this is not true, that, in aggregate, people are consuming less fats and more carbohydrates, vegetables and fruits. The solution, because obviously the people are at fault and stupid, is to use the law to make it “easier” for people to make the dietary choices public heath advocates desire. An example - using the law to ban soft drinks that contain sugar.

The arrogance of these people is extraordinary, and no matter how low are my expectations, they never disappoint.

Keto for Life!

Then I guess we shoudl start eatign them/

If so then I see that as a good sign. It would mean that they are starting to recognise how bad the recomendations are. Denial is one of the stages of grief. It isn’t good in the meantime, but it means they may come around in a generation or so.
