I use coconut oil or mct oil as aftershave, but I shave with a safety razor, boar bristle brush, and shaving soap.

I use coconut oil when I brush my teeth, in addition to tooth paste. I also use a dab under my eyes to lessen the dark circles. I’ve only been doing this a month but it seems to be working!

I will try it for dark circles too!

I make a salt scrub with pink Himalayan salt, coconut oil and raw honey. My skin has never looked better! I also made an eye cream from coconut oil and vitamin e oil. I’ve only been using it for 3 days but so far I love it!

It’s too messy, IMO. It makes the hairs into a goop that sticks to the razor and sink and requires extra hot water to rinse… As a beauty product (and shave oil) it’s good - great even - but the convenience of regular old Barbasol and how easily it cleans up with plain water is too good to resist. Not a bad idea to use a dab of coconut oil as a skin conditioner/aftershave, though. I’m on board with that

One thing I used when I was deployed was the Dr. Bronner’s soap. I used it to shave, shower, and brush my teeth. Made the little time I got in the bathroom super quick and easy to have one product that worked for everything.

I’ve been using coconut oil on my dry patches under my eyes and seems to be working great. Better than any cream that I’ve used up til now.
