If they have Mac’s brand by you I can testify they kick ass!
Close Encounters of the pleasant kind - yours?
I am requesting at this point that we get back on topic, please. You folks who want to discuss your encounters with pork rinds, can create another topic for that. Thanks.
Feel free to move those posts into a new topic, if you like. If you see a wrench at the top and bottom of the thread, then you have that ability. Otherwise, PM me if this is really an issue.
@PaulL Thanks. I don’t see the wrench but there’s no particular need to move the existing pork rind posts. I’d just like to get back to the OP topic. I’m sure there are lots of interesting stories out there just waiting to amuze and gratify us - or not.
I don’t know if this qualifies, but my daughter has been unhappy with her weight for a while now. She has been hearing me laud keto for a couple of years now, but was always resistant to the idea because she didn’t think she could give up carbs. Well, I saw her this weekend and she told me that she was doing a 2-week challenge with a housemate to give up sugar (baby steps). I am hopeful that maybe she will see the light and give full blown keto a try.
I was at a week-long seminar in June and had dinner with one of our vendors. As everyone else was asking about specialty drinks (this was at a very nice restaurant in a very nice hotel), I was asking about tequilas for sipping. Everyone asked me why I didn’t want one of the specialty drinks and I explained they were too much sugar for me, which led to a conversation with one of the younger developers, who had been doing fairly strict keto last year and was very familiar with it. Not for weight loss, he enjoyed the mental clarity, which was a plus for his job. Felt good to be able to have a brief conversation, and not be looked at funny for only trying a few of the appetizers.
It certainly worked for me. I started feeling so good without sweets, that I soon gave up all carbs but leafy greens, as well. And felt phenomenal.
